WorldClinic, fundraising and summary
I must express my gratitude to Dr. Daniel Carlin, the founder and CEO of WorldClinic for his unwavering support ever since I shared with him my dreams of a circumnavigation by human power back in 2007. WorldClinic is my official sponsor for remote medical services. They already provided me with a personal medical kit and their on-call medical specialists will be available 24/7 to receive any calls or emails from my rowboat to keep me healthy. Thanks to their commitment and expertise in telemedicine, Nancy will sleep better while I am rowing alone across the Pacific Ocean toward mainland Asia until March 2022.

The Personal Medical Kit consists of prescription strength medications organized and documented inside a travel pouch. Additional over the counter medical supplies will supplement this kit.
Fundraising
We have an ongoing fundraising campaign to remedy the costs of this expedition. Under our [DONATE] button in the right top corner of this website, you will find three options, all of which are processed through our 501(c)(3) Around-n-Over. As such all contributions are tax-deductible in the USA.
The Facebook campaign will remain active through late August and 100% of those contributions will arrive at Around-n-Over without any processing fees. Similarly sending a check to Around-n-Over directly is also a no-cost option to Around-n-Over.
The next best option is to use the PayPal option on the Around-n-Over donation page with a minimal 2%-3% processing fee that PayPal will deduct from the donation.
Although the GoFundMe campaign charges Around-n-Over the highest processing fees, it provides us a fairly universal venue to reach a wider audience and potential supporters.
The funds raised between now until landfall on Asian shores will mitigate the costs of the Pacific crossing and if their total exceeds 125,000 USD, that excess will be shared with our educational partner Ocean Recovery Alliance. As an ambassador for Ocean Recovery Alliance, my goal will be to raise awareness about plastics pollution in our oceans. Their founder and president Doug Woodring is actively promoting my journey and is busy building an educational stream of content in both English and Chinese to build a loyal following during my Pacific crossing.
Summary update
The launch by rowboat from Crescent City scheduled to take place during the second half of June, is certain to happen. We have prepared the rowboat, rewired the entire electrical system, built features to make her more survivable in storm conditions. The desalinator is at the factory for servicing, due to be shipped back early in June. I still have to complete a few detail work on the rowboat.
My biggest headache right now is finalizing the communication systems, streamlining capturing photos and videos to submitting these for blogging and other uses. Operating the hydrophone and periodically recharging that and transferring sound data to an external drive will be one of my routine activities. Dry runs between now and departure will be essential.
